One of my favorite Arcade Fire songs.
My interpretation is that it’s about a man whose worked a 9 to 5 job his whole life and hates it. What gets him through is his belief in God. He discovers his daughter, 13, is a terrific singer and through her performances he’s making a lot of money but he’s asking God whether exploiting her for his benefit makes him the Antichrist. He promises God that he’ll use her voice to spread his word but he’s still not sure if what he is doing is right.

Don´t like this song too much, but the title is cool.
I don’t think i could’ve gone to that festival. One, there is billions and jillions of people there, and i would have a heart attack from seeing such an awesome, yet fiercely intense performance.
I absolutely love this band, but they must be a sound engineer’s nightmare.

after i closed my dropped jaw, i was transfixed. i watched it for a while/days. again and again.immediately went to buy the cd.not nearly as powerful as that austin city limits show, but pretty powerful just the same. wish i could bottle it – that, and alpine air. same feeling.
