Real Parents have emotions and feelings. When my child does something wrong I dont just say its ok and explain why its wrong. I punish them so they will learn. We do get along with our children but its because we are real that it appears we dont

You answered your own question. “Real life parents” as opposed to fictional families? Get it?

  12. Lexxie A says:

I always thought it was the opposite.
Kids and teens on tv always seemed like they were a constant struggle with their parents. They were always angry at them or embarrassed by them or yelling or running away.
I never saw that in real life…

well life is not like in the movies.every parent has a different relation ship with his child.it depends on the character and how much the parent understand his child.parents sometimes think they are doing the right thing, but they are not

I do, but for our family, children come first.

I think my parents and I get along better than a lot of kids and parents on t.v. shows. Since when is t.v. a good comparison to real life anyway?

  17. Jusst Jesss says:

TV is just a dream picture of how a normal family should get along.
However if you watch TV programmes like Malcolm in the Middle and Everybody Hates Chris you will realize that not all TV families are the perfect picture either.
Every family has problems, I think it has to do with living in the same space as each other all the time and it can get quite crowded sometimes, making you feel anxious and wanting to fight with family. Parents mainly put the strain on the children by trying to get them to live by the ‘family rules’. Then when the children break the rules it gets bad from there I suppose…. Anyway, rambling.
    hope that helped.

the Bible says that mother and daughters and fathers and sons will rise up against one another. Real people have real opposing forces just like a husband and wife. There has to be disagreements in life or no one will grow strong relationships or someone will just learn to be a push over. Even with a relationship with God. he allows things in our life that we may feel is terrible but, it makes us stronger.tv is just fake!

  21. jaimee669 says:

  24. HeartSIN says:

Erm, I actually get along with my parents much better than most parents I see on television. I can’t think of a single show I’ve seen where the parents get along better than my parents and I do.

I can’t speak for all families, but as far as my relationship with my parents go, it has everything to do with the way I was raised.

  26. AMBER says:

Because children in real life are to hard headed to try to get along with. I am a mother to my kids, and they listen for the most part, but life isn’t one big “yes mom, I am prepared to fully obey you.” for anyone.

  27. Devonna says:

It is scripted in the real world people are different on tv
